Gas Station in Deep River. CT
Many gas stations in Connecticut are equipped with fire suppression systems in case of a fire at their gas pumps. Heat sensitive senors set off the system spraying down sodium bicarbonate dry chemical extinguishing agent to quickly put out any fires if a certain temperature is reached. The system can also be manually set off from inside the gas station. SERVPRO of Norwich and Windham County was called to clean up the aftermath of this gas station suppression system unloaded in Deep River. While there was thankfully no fire damage over ten cars, many with their windows open, were deluged with the white powder. By the time we left the site it was "Like it never even happened."
