Sump Pump Failure

Our crew at SERVPRO of Norwich and Windham county was called to this residence after the homeowner discovered six inches of water in their basement after a heavy rainfall.  After pumping out the water, our crew discovered that one of their two sump pumps had malfunctioned.  Sump pumps will usually solve most basement flooding and leaking issues, as they are specifically designed to remove water from basements and crawl spaces.  They are often the most effective and efficient way to drain water quickly from your home.  After pumping out the water our crew sanitized the area and set up air movers and dehumidifiers.
